"Wings of the Nile"

A neo-traditional tattoo of an Egyptian scarab

This time, a client wrote to me that she wanted to get a tattoo related to Egyptian culture, specifically a scarab.

And although I had never done anything similar, I accepted the challenge.

I began studying their meaning for the Egyptians and was amazed.

They represented the eternal cycle of life and were used as symbols of good luck and protection against visible and invisible evil.

So, with this in mind, I designed a piece that would reflect a scarab made of gold and precious stones, but with its wings open to express life. Seeking to reflect that divine character.

This project was about the size of a hand covering all the biceps and had a cost of $800
