A Japanese phoenix tattoo

If you know a little about me, you've already noticed the strong influence of traditional Japanese art in my work.

I wanted to convey a sense of resurgence, a fresh start during challenging times.

Few symbols embody this idea like a phoenix, so I chose that concept for this project.

For this piece, I mixed the thick lines of the traditional style with dotwork.

Measured 10 by 5 inches and cost $800.
