"Little Kappa"

A cartoonish tattoo about... me?

This is another client who wanted one of my kappas, but in this particular case, he mentioned he wanted a blend of my favorite styles.

So, in this piece, you can see my strong influence from Japanese culture, but using a traditional American style, blackwork in its dotwork and linework variations.

I decided to embellish it with a hoju, a sacred gem believed to have the power to make dreams come true, to add the mystical touch that characterizes many of my works.

It was 4 x 3 inches and cost $400
